Equality for ALL of Rockwall

School Board and Teachers Vote against protecting ALL children.

Rockwall schools voted to opt out of UIL against the will or vote from Rockwall citizens. It proves that RISD doesn't care about ALL children, only some.

This Vote that the board decided was best for Rockwall, discriminates against children and treats them like $$ instead of humanbeings.

Now they want to ask us tax paying citizens and our children to not only continue to pay them but give them more? That's insane. VOTE NO on VATRE in Novemeber.

They Steal enough money from us and fail to accomodate ALL tax paying citizens and their children.

What opting out UIL means

The school in the past has allowed ALL children who live in the district to play sports, join band, or any other extra curriculars.

They voted this year to NOT allow children to play that don't attend public school. Even though these children have been playing for years, they reside in the school district and live in Rockwall.

They have experienced commradery, Gained friendships, socialized, gave talent, show pride for their community.

Parents of these students pay school taxes. The state also gives extra money to the school per sport a child plays.

They banned players that pay taxes, reside in the school district and have pride in their community from continuing to participate.

They stripped away years of friendships, confidence and talent from the children in their own backyard.

Why would they want to limit and restrict the children in their own backyard?

Let's address some myths and scares about home schooling.

MYTH -- "They aren't socialized"

- Kids in public school are packed in a room with 30 other students, not allowed to talk most of the period, maybe get a recess depending on which grade. They are there to get educated not socialized.

-Home school kids can learn the same material public school teaches but in much less time and more focused , the rest is socializing. They socialize just like any other kid, except they have more time to do it freely.

IE: friends in neighborhood, other homeschoolers (1000's in Rockwall alone), scouts, church, sports, parks, events, ect.  Gone are the days where "homeschoolers are not social"

MYTH -- "They aren't as educated and their parents aren't certified to teach."

Even though it is not required to get "certified to teach" why does it make you a better teacher to teach your own children? It is a 9-12 month course that anyone can get.  Do you need a course on raising children? NO, for thousands of years families have been teaching each other. Everyday you teach your children something whether you know it or not.

Homeschool kids spend much more time with family, friends and vacations.

Families have the freedom to travel, enjoy activities and mold their children into successful adults, instead of letting some random person, employed by the government who follows a strict curriculum dictate how, when and where your child learns.

Would you rather teach your children about sex, condoms, transgenders, political idiology, Christ, ect.

or let the government teach that?

It can be scary to think about teaching your child math, reading, science, ect.

It is much easier than you think, and there are thousands of resources and help out there for the harder subjects.

In a classroom they have to cater to 25+ students and teach to the slowest, holding yours back and giving them "busy work". They also get bored, which sometimes lead to boredom and trouble, often classified as ADHD.... Kids aren't meant to sit in a classroom for 8 HOURS everyday!

(Most adults don't want to be gone for that long everyday)

They absorb and learn quicker than most public school kids with the one on one they need, in less time. They also develop better home and life skills.

Parents have the freedom to teach.

Teachers are bound by the "agenda and curriculum" of the district.

Public school is now more like a daycare. A way for parents to drop them off somewhere for 8hrs.

Texas average ranks 30-47 out of 50 in education!! That is nothing to brag about.

Everyone deserves to raise and educate their own children. It is their choice, just like religion, sports, where to live, where to attend college, who to marry, how to dress... it is free choice. Why does education have to be any different?

Talent comes from our own community:

Homeschool kids don't take any classroom space which equals less burden on teachers and school resources.

They live and play with all the children in their neighborhoods and activities, regardless of school choice, religion and politcal idiology.

Many scholarships are available to homeschoolers.

Many colleges and workplaces prefer homeschool children.

Many Athletes, Inventors, celeberties, ceo's and successful people were homeschooled.

-Theadore Roosevelt

-Winston Churchill

-Serena/Venus Williams

-Tim Tebow

-Emma Watson

-Justin Bieber

-Taylor Swift

-Jonas Brothers

-Clara Barton (founder of American Red Cross)

-George Washington Carver

-Alexander Bell

-Samone Biles

-Justin Timberlake

-Thomas Edison

SO MANY MORE

Do a search it is actually pretty cool how many people were homeschooled.

Public school pushes their agenda and purposely bullies and scares parents into believing that there way is the only way.

They want control and will find anyway to keep hold of it. Just like any other government program they want to stay, even at the expense of their citizens.
